How Burberry used its heritage to compete with other luxury brands

Burberry is a British luxury brand that started in 1856, by Thomas Burberry. Since the 1800's the brand has marked its value in history. It has been renowned for its trench coat which is made out of gaberdine and their lovely cheks. Heritage has been something Burberry has always relied on for Burberry has had a very remarkable heritage, but growth in the fashion industry can't all rely on heritage. People have a tendency to get bored. One brand cannot come up on the runway with repetitive clothes. 
Burberry has relied on its checks and trenches for over a century and now was a time to change and lead to a new era where it can compete with fellow luxury brands like Fendi, Louise Vuitton, Gucci, Versace etc. The Heritage archival of Burberry led to the B series which is streetwear based on the initials of Thomas Burberry. Burberry used its heritage to create a monogram and a print that can make its mark in the millenial luxury sector like the monogram pattern of Louise Vuitton, Chanel and Fendi. Heritage was used to hype the announce of the new monogram by Peter Seville
